Hello Gorilla Enthusiasts!

Zoo Atlanta is excited to be hosting the 2014 International Workshop June 9-13th!  Gorillas are one of the most celebrated and captivating zoo residents, and this certainly holds true at Zoo Atlanta, home to the largest collection of gorillas in the country. Zoo Atlanta is internationally recognized as a leader in the research, management and conservation of these rare and highly charismatic animals. Since 1995, the zoo has been home to the headquarters of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International, which has been studying and conserving gorillas in the wild for 45 years.  Zoo Atlanta is additionally the home and lead institution for the Great Ape Heart Project, which is the first formal collaboration between zoos, universities and health care centers to investigate and treat heart disease in great apes, one of the major illnesses facing apes today.

Please visit our Travel, Registration, and Program pages for details about the workshop.  If there are any more questions, please contact gorillaworkshop@zooatlanta.org. Additionally, you can sign up to follow our updates on Twitter and Facebook.

We look forward to seeing you in June!
